Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded (for services and for digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium) or, as applicable, on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take possession of the goods (for deliveries of goods).

You may use the model withdrawal form further below for this, but it is not obligatory. You can also fill in and submit the form, or another unequivocal statement, using the online withdrawal function “Withdraw from contract” further up this page; if you use that option, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your withdrawal without undue delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and, in any event, not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Two statutory particulars narrow this model for VERID: for personalised printed products there is no right of withdrawal from the outset (§ 18(1)(3) FAGG, details in the Delivery terms); for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal lapses early under the conditions set out below in “Special rule for digital services” (§ 18(1)(11) FAGG).

Right of withdrawal (right of cancellation under the FAGG)

Consumers may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason. For services and digital services the period starts on the day the contract is concluded; for deliveries of goods (for example printed products) it starts on the day the consumer, or a third party named by the consumer, takes possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, a clear statement of the decision to withdraw from the contract (for example by email or letter) is enough. Send it to:

The model withdrawal form below may be used for this, but it is not mandatory. To meet the deadline, it is enough to send the statement before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of withdrawal

Where withdrawal is effective, all payments received are refunded without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of the withdrawal statement being received. The same means of payment as the original payment is used for the refund, unless expressly agreed otherwise; no fees are charged for this.

Special rule for digital services

VERID results are digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. For such content, § 18(1)(11) FAGG applies: the right of withdrawal lapses early as soon as performance of the contract begins before the withdrawal period has expired, provided that

1. the consumer has expressly agreed that VERID may begin performing the contract before the withdrawal period expires,
2. the consumer has acknowledged that this early start causes the right of withdrawal to be lost, and
3. VERID has supplied a copy or confirmation of the contract, including that agreement and acknowledgement, in accordance with § 5(2) or § 7(3) FAGG.

Without these conditions, the right of withdrawal remains in place. Agreement and acknowledgement are obtained separately and unambiguously during the ordering process — not buried in boilerplate and not pre-ticked.
