Delivery terms

1. Scope

These terms apply to digital content and printed products ordered through the website verid.at. Digital content means, in particular, the checked single image, the digital print sheet and the Business Portrait as files; printed products are, for example, printed passport photo sheets. The operator is Markus Angerer, Schillerstraße 2, 8280 Fürstenfeld, Österreich (hereinafter “VERID”). The Terms and Conditions apply in addition.

2. Digital content

Digital content is not supplied on a tangible medium. It is made available for download after payment confirmation and once processing is complete — as a rule immediately; any different period is stated during the ordering process. The download is available at the end of the order or in the customer account; VERID also sends an email with the download link once the result is ready. The image files themselves are not sent by email. If provision is delayed, customers' statutory rights remain unaffected.

The download period is stated during the ordering process or in the customer account. Once it expires, the files are deleted in line with the rules described in the privacy policy. It is the customer's responsibility to download the files provided within that period and to keep their own copies.

An internet connection and an up-to-date browser are required for the download. Using the files requires software able to display common image and document formats (for example JPEG, PNG or PDF). The specific file formats are named during the ordering process.

3. Right of withdrawal for digital content

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal (right of cancellation). Details are set out on the page Withdrawal. For digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, § 18(1)(11) FAGG applies: the right of withdrawal lapses early as soon as performance of the contract begins before the withdrawal period has expired, provided that

1. the consumer has expressly agreed that VERID may begin performing the contract before the withdrawal period expires,
2. the consumer has acknowledged that this early start causes the right of withdrawal to be lost, and
3. VERID has supplied a copy or confirmation of the contract, including that agreement and acknowledgement, in accordance with § 5(2) or § 7(3) FAGG.

Without these conditions, the right of withdrawal remains in place. Agreement and acknowledgement are obtained separately and unambiguously during the ordering process. They are neither hidden nor pre-ticked.

4. Printed products

Whether printed products are offered follows from the ordering process. Every printed product is produced individually from the customer's own photo. It is a personalised product; it cannot be reused for anyone else.

For goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, § 18(1)(3) FAGG provides for an exception to the right of withdrawal. A print sheet carrying your own passport photo is a custom-made item in that sense: it is produced solely from the ordering person's photo and, were it returned, would be economically worthless to VERID because nobody else could use it. The right of withdrawal therefore lapses as soon as VERID has actually started producing the print. 5. Delivery areas, shipping costs and delivery time

Delivery is initially made within Austria; further delivery areas may be added later. The delivery areas available in each case, any shipping costs and the expected delivery time are shown during the ordering process before the order is placed — this page deliberately names no amounts and no periods. The delivery time starts on payment confirmation. If delivery is delayed, customers' statutory rights remain unaffected.

6. Transport damage and statutory warranty

In consumer transactions, VERID bears the risk of transport until the goods are handed over (§ 7b KSchG, the Austrian Consumer Protection Act). Visible transport damage should be reported as quickly as possible to hello@verid.at. Failing to report it does not limit any statutory rights; it does, however, make things easier when the matter is taken up with the carrier. Statutory warranty rights apply — they are neither excluded nor limited towards consumers.
