How do I create my ID photo?
You take a guided shot in your browser or upload an existing photo. VERID crops it to the format of your document and checks it.
Can I use VERID from anywhere?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser, with no appointment and no photo booth, whenever and wherever you like.
Does VERID replace the decision of the authority?
No. VERID checks technically against the official format criteria. Acceptance is always decided by the authority.
Is my photo used to train AI?
No. VERID does not use your images to train AI models.
How long is my photo stored, and how often can I download it?
The download link is valid for 30 days with up to 5 downloads per position. We keep your images for at most 24 months from purchase. If you would like them deleted sooner, a message to us is enough.
Is my face altered?
Not in an ID photo: your photo is cropped to the frame, not retouched. A Business Portrait is a separate, explicitly optional product where your source photo is sent to an AI image provider (Google or OpenAI) and the result is stored.
What is the difference between face analysis and identification?
VERID measures image geometry to check the standard (face analysis). It does not recognise anyone again and keeps no database of faces (no identification).
How is the sheet of six created?
From your checked single photo VERID produces a print-ready 10 × 15 sheet holding six photos.
Can I withdraw my consent?
Yes, at any time in your customer account. Once you withdraw it, the use concerned stops.
What data is stored for the customer account?
Only what is needed: your email address plus your order and consent records. No biometric templates.
Are my images used to improve the product?
No, not without your separate, explicit consent. VERID does not offer such consent today.
Does VERID use tracking or analytics software?
No. VERID uses no tracking or analytics scripts, only technically necessary cookies and a marker for your cookie choice.
How do I pay on VERID?
On the website, payment runs through Stripe; VERID itself never stores card details. In the app, you buy through Apple.
How do I get my photos and my invoice?
Your invoice and downloads sit in your customer account and are also emailed to you as a download link. VERID never sends your photos themselves as an attachment.
Where and how is my print shipped?
Shipping is initially within Austria only. Standard shipping arrives without a tracking number, express shipping with one.
Can I withdraw from an order?
For digital content, your right of withdrawal ends as soon as you expressly agree to immediate performance. A printed ID photo is made individually for you and is therefore excluded from the right of withdrawal.
